Hire Terms
These Hire Terms outline the agreement between Bricktrail Hire (“we”, “our”) and the customer (“you”) for the temporary use of tools and equipment.
1. Booking and identification
Bookings can be made online, by phone, or in person. We may request valid photo ID (such as a UK driving licence) and a proof of address before releasing any item.
2. Deposit and payment
A refundable deposit may be required depending on the tool type. Payment can be made by debit or credit card. Deposits are returned after inspection, usually within 48 hours.
3. Duration
Standard hire periods run by day or weekend. Late returns incur additional daily charges as shown on the current rate list.
4. Care and use
You agree to use tools responsibly and according to any instructions supplied. Please check voltage, safety guards, and PPE requirements before starting work. Any damage caused by misuse may affect deposit return.
5. Loss or theft
In case of loss or theft, notify us immediately and provide a police reference number. Replacement costs will be assessed fairly based on age and condition of the missing item.
6. Liability
Bricktrail Hire is not responsible for indirect losses, site delays, or personal injury arising from misuse of equipment. All tools are checked and maintained according to UK standards before each hire.
7. Cancellation
You may cancel up to 24 hours before collection without charge. Later cancellations may incur a small handling fee to cover administration.
8. Data and communication
Personal data provided for hire is handled under our Data & Fair Use Policy. We contact customers only with necessary service messages or when legally required.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes may be handled through small claims or mediation routes where appropriate.
